The third week of October has been declared School Bus Transportation Week to recognize and celebrate the amazing work bus drivers do for students and school communities. We are fortunate to have a safe, dedicated, and caring team of bus drivers that transport students over 1,000,000 miles each school year. Thank you to all members of the Auburn-Washburn Transportation Team for everything they do from scheduling bus routes, completing bus maintenance, cleaning and disinfecting buses, responding to calls, and of course, safely transporting students. They are an amazing team and we appreciate their efforts greatly!

Many folks have been asking the WaRu Theatre department, "Are you guys doing any plays this year?"

The answer: YES!

In spite of current challenges, we feel strongly that it is important to keep engaging our creative students and continue offering theatre experiences to our patrons. Now more than ever, the world needs art that keeps us in touch with the human experience through imaginative storytelling.

Our first show this season is a radio play in live performance. The nostalgia of gathering to hear a 1940s radio show meets the suspense of classic mystery in The 39 Steps. This romantic thriller is inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's masterpiece and performed live by voice actors with on-stage sound effects.

When: Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24 at 7:00 pm
Running time: 55 minutes
Where: WRHS Auditorium (or in your own home!)
Tickets: $5.00 in person or single-home live stream

We are committed to keeping everyone healthy and safe, so you may purchase tickets to attend in person with socially-distanced seating (please wear a mask), or purchase rights to live stream the show from home.

Visit www.warutheatre.org/fall-play for ticketing, show description, cast lists, and more.

Stay up-to-date on show announcements by following @warutheatre on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and spread the word by sharing.

Thank you for supporting our students and the arts!
